Ok, let’s start here. Hemp oil is the oil that comes from cold pressing hemp seeds from the Cannabis Sativa plant. Kind of like olive oil.
Most importantly, hemp oil has no psychotropic effects. None whatsoever.
No. Not really. See, hemp oil comes from the seeds of the hemp plant-through a process of pressing them to be exact.
CBD oil, however, comes from solvent extraction. You know, good ol’ solvent extraction, where a solvent, like butane or alcohol, is pushed through the plant, to separate out the cannabinoids.
How they’re made is just one of the differences. It’s what they’re used for that’s really important.
Let’s take a look at the benefits of hemp oil.
Like CBD, hemp oil can be used as a topical, or it can be taken orally.
Oh, but there’s so much more.
For example, since it’s low in saturated fats, hemp oil can be used for cooking healthy meals. (And no, a taco salad is not a healthy meal!).
According to Zliving , hemp oil has been found to be high in essential fatty acids, omega-6, and omega-3. In layman’s terms, it’s good for your ticker. One recent study showed that hemp oil could help lower the risk of heart disease.
Plus, all those fatty acids can be helpful in building up your immune system .
Hemp oil is also known to be a rich source of Vitamin E . In other words, it’s great for skincare. Just think, it can help aging skin look younger.
It’s said to be rich in essential amino acids. According to the Journal of Nutraceuticals, Functional and Medicinal Foods (We know, it’s our favorite too!), these amino acids help maintain the proteins in your body. This helps keep muscles healthy.
And if that doesn’t convince you of the prowess of hemp oil, it has been reported that the lipids found in hemp oil will help get your hair fuller, shinier and healthier !
And this is very important; hemp oil is not a catch-all term. Hemp oil does this, CBD oil (which comes from hemp) does that.
But they’re both fantastic.
